They received this email from Grace after she was mascot at Burton v Wigan in 2017. Grace suffers from hypoplastic left heart syndrome and has a heart of gold and despite having to attend hospital regularly for check ups and surgeries always has a smile on her face.
Hi, I just want to thank you for letting me be a mascot for Burton Albion on Saturday. I really enjoyed myself. Meeting the players was brilliant but my best bit was being able to go on the pitch and have a kick about. Because of my condition I am not allowed to do sports especially anything to do with balls. So being able do do that actually made me feel normal for a bit. Thank you again so so much
Love

Another heart warming story is about Will who was nominated by a hospice support worker to be a mascot. His mum was being cared for by the Hospice. Unfortunately his mum passed away before his big day
Hi Sam
I just wanted to write and say a huge thank you on behalf of Will Norman and his family, for the wonderful day they experienced at Hull City on 20th December. I know the family are also planning to write to you, you may have already received a response from them! They all had a wonderful day, and it brought light at what has been one of their most darkest times. I wish you could have seen Will’s face when he told me about one of the players autographing his boots and handing these over after the match! Will absolutely loved every minute and his Dad described this to be as ‘an incredible day’.I hope you have had a peaceful Christmas. I will be in touch soon with details of the mascot for the match in summer. I wish you a happy new year, once again thank you for contacting us about the mascot packages. You do wonderful work!
