Health and Safety in Demolition 2020 – Post COVID -19 Lockdown

As a demolition company, Downwell has an excellent Health and Safety in Demolition record.  It is always our number one priority when it comes to planning a project. With the industry trying to get back on its feet, pricing is very competitive, and everyone is looking to see how they can save money to carry out the work.

As an accredited NFDC demolition contractor, it also gives our clients the added peace of mind that we are working to the very highest of standards set by the federation. When selecting a Demolition Contractor, it is now even more important to look for this accreditation.

Downwell will never compromise Health and Safety to secure a project. With the added measures we have put in place for COVID -19 it has allowed us to refocus on Health and Safety and have improved all our procedures.

COVID -19 is now a very important part of our site inductions. Social distancing measures are currently in practice on all our sites with temperature checks as our workforce enter and leave the site. Welfare facilities and equipment sanitised regularly with records kept within our health and safety file. In addition, any of our operatives not passing the temperature test or not adhering to our site rules are not allowed on site.

We continually invest in the highest quality accredited Health and Safety training for all our workforce and will remain vigilant during these testing times.
