uPVC Window Recycling

All the uPVC windows from the Gascoigne Estate were set aside in a specific area and were collected by our uPVC recycling company LM Metals

How are the uPVC window frames recycled

The step by step process for uPVC Window Recycling is as follows:

  1. The windows go through a shedding process to reduce them down to small chunks
  2. All the metal and magnetic pieces are separated and go into the metal recycling
  3. Pieces are sorted by colour. The coloured plastic is stripped back to the original plain white
  4. The plastic is then put through a pelletising process. The resultant small uPVC tablet shapes are then put back into the manufacturing process to create new uPVC windows.
